First, the induction coil, or other means of obtaining our high potential current; second, the interrupter (providing an induction coil is used) ; third, the X Ray tube; and fourth, the X Ray 'tube-shield.' This last piece of apparatus is essential to the health and protection of the operator, and not to the working of the apparatus, but it is so important that we class it as one of the four essential parts of the outfit.
