I do not, however, believe that it is Mr. Shaw's. Mr. Shaw himself says somewhere, with his usual candour and even modesty, that he is not remarkable for stage technique. His plays, he seems to think, are technically like other plays. He says that he is better than Shakespeare in one respect, and here not a few will probably agree with him, but does not claim superiority in the matter of stage con- struction.
