SPECIAL APPLICATIONS OF ELECTEOMOTOES, Small motors hare long been employed, as we have already mentioned, in certain scientific experi- ments where a rapid movement with comparatively little force was required, and more lately in certain industries, such as sewing machines, wire-drawing, silk or cotton wire-covering machines, lathes, and instruments of precision.
