Please send him any instructions you think proper under the circumstances.^^ Konigsegg's rejoinder expressed a satisfaction which he could hardly have felt at this ingenious attempt to shift responsibility to his shoulders.
Being still confined to bed by gout, he had sum- moned the other generals to his quarters.
