The verses of St, Peter's Epistle are not once mentioned. The second part of this apocryphal Gospel consists of the written narrative of Karinus and Leucius, the sons of Simeon, who had risen with Christ, and remained on this earth only such time as was necessary to complete their revelation.
Each wrote his story separately, and the two were afterwards found to tally exactly, letter for letter.
The narrative thus obtained is long and circum- stantial : the chief persons of the drama are Hades or Tartarus (the prince of hell), Satan, Adam, Seth, Enoch, David, Elijah, Isaiah, Simeon, and the penitent thief.
