Green boldly postulates an absolute reason in the objective order — God, demonstrated by the analysis of consciousness, — and regards progressive human experience of the Good and the True as the pro- gressive self-imparting of this absolute consciousness to us. Here already one doubts whether Green's meta- physical foundations are adequate.
