What reading level is Highways And Byways in Dorset book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

ALDHELM'S HEAD 197 St. Aldhelm's Head. Standing boldly out into the sea, it faces the Channel with a bald cliff 350 feet in height. At its foot is a most inhospitable shore of rocks. Upon the summit of the promontory is hardy grass, so scoured by centuries of wind that it has become as smooth as a sand drift. There is a sense of defiance about this strong cape, a suggestion of a clenched fist outstretched in the tideway to challenge the elements. It is a solemn place too when a sea mist makes i...t a mere point among the clouds. To walk then to the cliff's edge and look over is to come to the very edge of the world and gaze into the steamy void of space. On a sunny day a superb view of the coast opens up from the headland. To the East is the hard sea wall, to the West are capes and valleys, green downs and sandy bays, shut in by the far-away island of Portland.
On the summit of St. Aldhelm's Head is a tiny Norman chapel, square and low, built of walls so thick that there is little space within.
