Finding a fpring of good water among the crags on the other fide of the Hockley gully, they ere&ed a fubftantial water-houfe as a collecting tank (the old leadwork was carried to Welbeck a few years ago), and by means of a channel condu&ed the ftream down the fides of the gully, acrofs a fmall rivulet, and up the promontory to a fecond water-houfe adjoining the Caftle, and level with the firft.
