Perhaps no better impression can be given of this man than from his own words, at a reunion of his old pupils in the celebra- tion of his eightieth birthday.
The eightieth anniversary of the birthday of Prof. James Bushee, which took place at his home in Union Village, deserves more than a passing notice, as there were nearly 200 persons present, a large num- ber of whom had at some time during the past fifty-eight years been under the instruction of the professor.
