The school is now in opera- tion at the City Hospital ; has a superintendent and two trained nurses from Bellevue Hospital, and six pupil nurses. It gives a two years' course of instruc- tion to women, thus opening up a new profession and aiding the physician by an intelligent helper.
In the construction of this admirable organization, as well as in the prosecution of its multifarious labors, Rev. Oscar C. McCulloch, of Plymouth Church, has borne his share and rather more, and very fairly stands at the head of it.
