He found a well-wooded little island down Polly river, about eight miles from Morris island. A wood-chopping party of three PENNSYLVANIA REGIMENT. 297 companies was detailed, which encamped on the island, with teams to haul the wood to the landing. It was then brought up the river into the inlet, in light draft steamboats, and delivered at our wharf.
