At the state convention of county superintendents and other school officers which met at Green Cove Springs, Feb- ruary 11-13, 1902, the following resolution was almost unan- imously adopted : 43 " Resolved 4. That we recognize the need of a standard course of study for the county schools and recommend that the St

" That same year Professor H. E. Bennett, clerk and assistant of State Superintendent Sheats, prepared a bill which had as one of its provisions a provision for the formulation of a stand- ard high-school curriculum. 44 This bill was introduced by Sen- ator W.
