What reading level is Hydraulics of Great Rivers the Paran the Uruguay And the La Plata Estuary book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

These figures show, that when the La Plata is near its ordinary low-water level, the difference between the two levels is nearly constant, viz. 38^ inches ; that although the low water preceding C, c, is 3 inches short, it is accounted for hy the powerful disturbance of the La Plata preceding that low water, the top of the B wave being excessive ; and, although the run of water from the top of B was of unusual duration, the whole mass of the wave being suddenly released by the gale veering roun
...d from N. E. To north, yet, it was not long enough to allow the La Plata to fall to its ordinary low-water level, the tidal wave C having already made its appearance, checking any further fall. The figures also show that as the low-water level of the La Plata is raised more and more above its ordinary position, so the difference between the low-water levels of the Palmas and the Plata is more and more reduced. The wave E, by deepening the estuary 50 inches at low water between E and F above the ordinary level of the La Plata, also reduced the difference between the corresponding low water at the Palmas section to 15^ inches, being only -j^ths of the fall, or difference of levels, due to ordinary low water of the La Plata.
