In his Cronykil of Scotland Andrew Wyntoun sums up the legend in the following lines: " This Constantyne than regnand, Oure the Scottis in Scotland, Saynt Adriane wyth hys cumpany Came off the land off Hyrkany, And arrywyd in to Fyffe, Quhare that thai chesyd to led thar lyff.
