What reading level is Indian Village Folk: Their Works And Ways book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

In a corner of one of these p'a/s there is a small room in which the farmer makes his daily pujaA (prayers). In the inner circle of the house there are several rooms for keeping valuables in. At one corner of the house there are granaries, which are peculiarly built of small branches of trees and plastered with mud. This part has a thatched roof, and a small entrance provided with a lock and key. When anyone enters one of these granaries he is nearly suffocated for want of air, but the farm lab...ourer, having opened the entrance awhile, is able to enter the granary, and even to remain there for an hour. Some of them sing songs of joy while they are removing the grain from the granary. By the side of these granaries there is a cattle-shed, in which are kept the milking-cows and buffaloes.
There is no farmer in India without several milking buffaloes and also a few cows for his own domestic use. In some other part of his spacious house there aro stone troughs for watering his cattle. He has a separate kitchen-house built in Oriental style, and fitted with hundreds of earthen vessels for cooking, and for keeping water for himself and his servants.
