Olea Americana. Olive tree of America. It is found in the Carolinas and Florida. It is an erect plant, with lanceolate leaves, elliptical, rather oblong, pointed, smooth, entire, solid, glossy on the upper face, and of a fine yellowish-green. It blos- soms in June; its flowers are arranged in close bunches; its bracts are persistent, united, and small.
