I do not think this report shows fully the difficulties through which the college has been laboring, nor does it place the institution in such a light that It will satisfy t|ie agriculturalist that they are getting the beet results from the expenditure 01 so large sums of money. ^ I do not think the farm is made by any means a model one, or such as would incite a spirit of emulation amon^ farmers and others visiting it.
There is not sufficient care exercised m ...keeping the different kinds of stock to show their qualities for breeding purposes.
There seems to be a lack of a proper system of accounts in the agricult- ural department, such as would show the profits or loss in growing the different crops, also in feeding, in comparing silage with roofs to show which is best and most profitable for farmers. I am opposed to co-educa- tion in this school. I believe it would not be conducive to good morals, and that the branches taught here which ladies could take are better taught in other schools in the State.
