RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Methodism had its beginning in North Carolina when Reverend Joseph Pilmoor preached the first Methodist sermon at Currituck Court House September 28, 1772, and, WHEREAS, our Methodist people have built a new church at Currituck and have named it Memorial to commemorate this important fact of Methodist his- tory in North Carolina, and, WHEREAS, this Memorial Church is of special interest to all the Methodist people of this st
