Churches to which the Act of 1850 Applies. — By section thirteen of the Act of 1818, societies incorporated under the Act of 1801 (chap. 79), are confirmed. The former law is vir- tually a re-enactment of the latter, and churches complying with the pro- visions of the Act of 1813 exist by virtue of it, though organized under the prior law. The Act of 1850, therefore, extends to and includes corporations... formed under the Act of 1801, or by special charter. Church of Redemption v. Orace Church, 68 N. Y. 570.
Beal Estate. — If the associate con- gregation becomes incorporated with- out the consent of the parent society, title to real estate purchased by the latter as provided by section two of the Act of 1850, for the use of the former, though paid for in part by the associate society, vests exclusive- ly in the parent society. Jd.
Consent of Parent Society. — If the property occupied by the associate society belongs exclusively to the pa- rent society, the former, upon becom- ing incorporated with the consent of the parent society, will acquire no title to the property of the latter.
