We then amended the Constitution further, by adopt- ing the Fifteenth Amendment. That Fifteenth Amendment prohibited the wronging of any man who was a citizen of the United States, by denying or abridging his right to vote, on account of his color. When this was accomplished, the Republican Party was in power.
