Blade remained at her side all through it, and she leant on his arm as she accepted the court's condolences. At her request, he related the tales of some of his exploits, and she learnt more about her enigmatic husband. When she was forced to attend to urgent duties, Blade sat nearby and read, which tended to make visiting dignitaries and messengers quite nervous.
