Oblongifolia Sarg. ) with narrower more elongated leaves with more prominent tufts of axil- lary hairs occurs in Putnam, Leon and Gadsden Counties, Florida, on the bluffs of the Alabama River near Berlin, Dallas County, Alabama, in Hinds, Rankin and Adams Coun- ties, Mississippi, in West Feliciana, Iberia (A very Island) and Natchitoches Parishes, Louisiana, in Hempstead and Salina Counties, Arkansas, and in Harris, Anderson and Liv- ingston Counties, Texas.
