59th day. 43rd day's marching. July llth Tues- day. Marched about 8 and came 4 miles S. And en- camped on the south side of the Canadian on a small Creek. Bought some Buffalo meat of the Caddoes, who are in camp near us. There was very little wa- ter running in the river where we crossed it.
