(1) Gonorrhoea in the male is a communicable mfection, the germs of which may persist and may communicate the disease long after its active symp- toms have subsided.
(2) This latent form of the disease can be de- tected only by careful microscopic examvnation of secretions from the genito-urvnary tract.
