In consequence of the state of his health, and of the great need of his services among those of his countrymen, who reside in the Arkansas country, he return- ed to them, early in the year 1824. The ad- dresses, which he delivered in many of our principal towns and cities, on the wrongs and claims and prospects of the American Indians, will not soon be forgotten by those who listen- ed to them.
