At daylight on Sunday the 2nd, a still greater force joined the despoilers during the night, when the pirates, leaving a number at work on the wreck, advanced witb twenty of their heaviest vessels towards our landing-place, fired one of their patereroes, beat their gongs, and otherwise making a hideous noise, anchored in a line about a cable's length from our cove.
