At a special meeting of Hugh H. Osgood Lodge, I. O. O. F. , M. U. , held in their rooms Oct. 23, 1899, the following resolutions were adopted : In view of the loss we have sustained by the decease of our friend and honorary member, the Honorable Hugh H. Osgood, and the still heavier loss sustained by those who were nearest and dearest to him, be it Resolved, That it is only a just tribute to the mem- ory of the departed to s...ay that in regretting his re- moval from our midst we mourn for one wlio was in every way worthy of our respect and regard.
34 Resolved, That we sincerely condole with the family of the deceased on the dispensation with which it has pleased Divine Providence to afflict them, and commend them for consolation to Him who orders all things for the best and whose chastisements are meant in mercy.
Resolved, That this heartfelt testimonial of our sym- pathy and sorrow be forwarded to the family of our de- parted friend, and that a copy be entered on the records of our lodge; also published in the Morning Bulletin and the Norwich Evening Record.
