What reading level is Memorial of Mrs. Lucy E. Hartwell of the American Board Mission At Foochow, China book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

In 1874, we visited Peking and otliet places during the summer, and iu 1877, again visited the home land, reaching Foochow on our return on 1st December, 1878. Most of these changes were taken on my own account as well as on hers, and were needed also for the benefit of our children.
As a mother Mrs, Hartwell was early called to mourn the loss of little ones. Before our first visit to the United States, we had laid three daughters in the little mission cemetery. The last of these was her first-
...born, whose death in her eleventh year, the summer before we returned to the United States, was a very severe affliction to her mother.
A son subsequently died in the United States in the care of others.
She also had the common trial of separation from children which she bore with cheerful fortitude. They were left with kind relatives and our covenant keeping God blessed them so that all of them early be- came the followers of the Savior. And though they were most kindly cared for by a beloved brother and sister, yet there were times when her faithful spirit as a mother was sorely pained that she could not care for them herself.
