CHESTER ALLYN SNIDER was born August 9, i860, on a farm in Platte County, Missouri. His father was a Government contractor, and took his family with him from Missouri to Colorado and then to Montana, and back again to Missouri, locating in Kansas City in 1870. The boy Chester went to the public school and to... the Central High School, and then entered Bethany College in West Virginia. Returning home, he embarked in the cat- tle business, helping to form the firm of Evans, Snider, Buell, in which he was for many years vice-president and manager of the Kansas City office. He is now treasurer of the company, and is also a director in the Fidelity Trust Company and in the Bolen-Darnall Coal Company. He is rapidly closing up his business affairs, it being his intention to spend some time in foreign travel.
