CHBCX-WEIGHMAN may be EMPLOYED BY MINEAS^HIS DUTIES— QUALIFICATIONS— OATH. — | 3. a It shsU be lawful for the miners employed in any coal mine in this State to furnish a check-we^hman at their own expense, whose duty St shall be to balance the scales and see that the coal is properly weighed, and that a correct account of the same is kept, and for this purpose he shall have access at all times to the beam box of said scale, and be afforded fadltties for the disdiarge of his duties while the weighing is being performed, i The 4gent employed by the miners as aforesaid to act as check-weighman shall be aa employ^ of the pezaon or persons operating the mine, a citizen of the State and canity wherein the mine is situated, and shall, before entering upon his duties, aiake and aubscnbe to an oath before some officer duly anthor- ixed to ninrr^^f* oatha« that he is duly qualified, and will faithfoJly disrhaigf the datias of chcck-wcjy^hman ; such oath shall be kept conspicuous^ posted at the place of weighmg.
