We recommend that this interest be collected the earliest day possible.
In regard to the notes given by persons holding the amounts above referred to, we consulted Lawyer Bynum, of Greensboro, N.
C. He says that these notes he cannot recommend as good.
$644.74 of this amount is a note made by Bennett College. We were instructed to find out whether this note is safe, and if not, to ascertain what is a good note. Attorney Bynum recommends that a note given by the college signed by the president of the cor- poration holding the college property, with a certificate declaring that this property is not encumbered, is good.
