My prayer is that we all may receive a mighty baptism of the Holy Ghost for revival in the Church.
J. P. FRANKLIN.
WESTERN DISTRICT M. M. Jones, Presiding Elder To the President and Members of the Forty-sixth Session of the North Carolina Annual Conference: Forty-Sixth Session 35 Beloved Bishop and Brethren: I am thankful to our Heavenly Father for the gracious providence that has brought us through another Conference year, and permits us to assemble again to transact business for the success o
...f our great Church.
The first thought which comes to my mind is the obligation we are under, to give thanks unto Him in whose hands our breath is, who kindly lengthens out our days, and affords us grace to work out our own salvation with joy unspeakable and full of glory. We especially rejoice in the success which has attended our efforts to build up the Church, both spiritual and temporal, and to extend the borders of our Methodism. It is through the mercy of Almighty God that I have the honor of presenting to you my fourth annual report of the work done, and the present condition of the Western District.
