By your fruits they shall know... you. The tree which putteth forth the most leaves, does not always yield the most fruit. Take these remarks not unkindly, brethren. They are not written in any such spirit. The wisest of mankind were not unwilling to worship before the elo- quence of Silence. If these words tend, as they are intended, to invite a close self-examinatipn of all our grand representative bodies, in order that the least, as well as the most hurtful influences, grow- ing out of want of careful circumspection, may be prevented; then all true Masons will frankly and freely admit they were spoken in season.
