However, in your Sept. /Oct. 1984 issue, in the article "Black or Grizzly Bear?" on page 12, you list the ways to identify a grizzly bear. Item No. 1 in- dicates a grizzly has a hump over the front shoulders. To my knowledge, all animals have only one set of shoulders. This is a common expression, and I wonder how it got started.— J.L.
