For the time being, energy conservation and a search for new energy sources are both essential. However, we must not undo our recent ecological gains in the name of energy crisis. Prior to rushing additional nuclear power plants into service, let's be absolutely certain we have sufficient knowledge to handle all of the resulting wastes. Before expanding drilling and mining operations, let's conquer the adverse side effects. There is no excuse, in a nation that put men on the moon, for oil spills, destructive mining practices or stream pollution.
