If the retiree draws monthly benefits for less than 10 years (120 months), the beneficiary will be paid monthly benefits for the bal- ance of the 10-year period. LIFE ANNUITY, 20-YEAR PERIOD CERTAIN. (Available to those 65 years of age, or younger.) The Option 1 amount is reduced by applying the fixed factorof .8956. If the retiree lives for less than 20 years (240 months), the beneficiary will continue to be paid the same monthly benefit for the balance of the 20-year period.
