Recommendation #1 We recommend the university comply with its procedures to ensure: A. Expenditures do not exceed authorized budget amounts.
B. Expenditure corrections are made and grants are closed out within 90 days or according to grantor guidelines.
Controls Ove r Grants and Contracts We reviewed 30 grants and contracts and noted the following instances of non-compliance: ► Two grants were misclassified on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA).
