And I testify that there is no god but God, and that Mohammed is His Servant and Apostle. " ^ Among other exorcisms, the use of which is said to have originated at the time of Mohammed, it is related by the historian, Ahmet Effendi, that, in the tenth year of the Hegira, the Khahf Ah being about to march against the province of Yemen, the army of which far outnumbered his own, expressed some anxiety as to the success of the expedition.
