Three rooms, each containing two grades and each grade fifteen pupils, a total of ninety pupils, were in session five iays a week from nine to twelve. The attendence in Train- ing School kept up remarkably well, the last week showing a daily average of eighty-six.... Besides the regular observa- tion work the special teachers of Art, Music, Primary Read- ing, Literature and Geography conducted demonstration work in the Training School, especially emphasizing the de- velopment of appreciation in these subjects.
Owing to the fact that the school was not planned until May and could not be advertised widely until early in June many students in the vicinity of Altoona had made reservations at other schools for the summer and could not easily rearrange their plans.
