Number of Rural Retirement Subdivisions Per Class The initial characteristic to be examined is the total number of individual rural retirement subdivisions assigned to each of the six classes. Shown on the first line of Table 5, these totals indicate that in terms of frequency of occurrence the Class IV developments are the most common (fifty-two), followed by Classes II and III, each with twenty-six. Next in total numbers of individual developments are Classes V and VI with seventeen and sixteen, respectively.
