Mr Hylton was immediately introduced to the chaplain in the governor's room, and found, to his consolation, that the considerate Chief Justice had caused the respite to be accompanied by an injunction to the authorities to warn the prisoner, that the only use which he ought to make of the few days longer allowed to him on earth, should be to prepare the better for hereafter.
