Rovster 458.33 GRAND TOTAL $12,380.83 REPORT OF AREA ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY Bishop Love and Members of the Conference: Instead of attempting to give a review of my activities of the past year, I am sub- mitting to the Annual Conferences of the Area for their approval our financial report covering the years 1957 and 1958, with a few announcements of area-wide meetings for 1960. These reports were given at the Area Council in Bluefield, W. Va., last October.
Inasmuch as the Annual Conferences p...rovide the major support for operation af the Area office, I think it is important that they should be given the privilege of reviewing our finances. The Area Council, not being a legislative body, can only hear reports and pass recommendations involving financial matters to the Annual Confer- ences for action. The report for 1959 will be presented first at the next Area Council, and then to the Annual Conferences in 1961.
I wish to make the following announcements: 1. The third annual Ministers' Wives' Retreat will be held at Morgan State College, Baltimore, September 1, 2, and 3.
