HEMATITE IMPLEMExXTS.
Objects made from hematite were frequently met with in the village. The celt was the most abundant, and varied in size from three-fourths of an inch in length to two and one-half inches, many of them showing usage. Good examples of the hematite celt are shown in Fig. 40, Nos. I to 4.
