It would suit also best the expression "three days' journey in the wilderness" (Exod 8. 27), although it is in any case only general.
The last view commends itself also on account of the fact that many of the events of the wilderness residence taking place in Horeb-Sinai and Kadesh are so inter- mixed as to find the best explanation in the proximity of these two places. This nearness stands out clearly in the corrected text of Deut 33. 2 : Jehovah came from Sinai, He rose from Seir unto them; He shined forth from mount Paran, And he came from Meribath-Kadesh.
