In order, also, more decisively to mark his in- tention of weaning his family from their attach- ment to all those ancient habits, feehngs, and prejudices, which constitute the endearing idea of country, he determined to send his son to complete his education at Oxford ; aware that in the University of Dublin, some sympathy with the interests of his native land might be encou- raged to hnger in his breast, and impede his ad- OLDCOURT.
