The above values of 5p should be quite accurate for a shock tube subject to siz...e conditions given on p. 13. For actual blast waves in open air (or water) it is possible that there may be additional sizable contributions due to the rapid variation of pressure behind the shock front. When (i) p. 3 does not apply it is apparently almost impossible to handle such contributions theoretically. Farther study is planned.
