In this model, hazard rates are postulated to be log-linear functions of the variables X. This model was estimated to identify whether persistence may be an age dependent phenomenon after controlling for possible heterogeneity of the sample, and controlling for researcher success and reputation as measured by the cumulative produaivity variable.
