CONSTITUTION.
1. The design of the Soldiers' Home of Chi- cago is to provide gratuitous refreshment and temporary lodging for Union soldiers going to and coming from the army.
2. The management of the Home shall be committed to a Board of Directresses, with an advisory committee of six or more gentlemen.
3. The ofl&cers shall be ladies, with the excep- tion of th...e President and Treasurer, who shall be gentlemen, selected by the Board of Di- rectresses.
4. The other officers shall be two Vice Presi- dents, a Secretary, and an Assistant Treasurer, all of whom shall be elected in like manner with the President, Treasurer and Advisory Committee at the annual meeting of the Board, 10 CONSTITUTION.
and shall serve for one year, or until succes- sors shall be appointed. Any vacancy in any of the said offices, or in the Advisory Committee, shall be filled by the Board of Directresses at any weekly meeting, provided that not less than twelve shall be present.
