IN reply to your letter dated the 23rd instant, I am directed to state, for the information of the Lieutenant-Govemor, that the crew of the boat which it has been determined to detach from the ^* Jumna,'* and station at Patna, can of course be employed on shore at the discretion of the Commissioner, together with the howitzer with which the boat is armed.
