KNOW ALL MEN by these Presents, that we Robert Smith, David Kennedy, Joseph Carson and William McDougall, all of the City of Philadelphia, are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency, John Dickinson, Esquire, President of the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Penn- sylvania, C
...aptain General and Commander in Chief in and over the same, in the Sum of Three thousand Pounds, to be paid to the said John Dickinson, Esquire, or to his Successor in the said office, to which Payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, Jointly and severally, for and in the whole, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our Seals. Dated the twentieth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty-five.
THE CONDITION of this Obligation is such that if the above bounden Robert Smith shall faithfully execute the Trust, and perform all and every the Acts, Matters and Things enjoined and required of him as a Trustee in and by the Act of the General Assembly, passed the fourth day of April last, in- tituled "An Act for erecting and opening a Loan office for the Sum of Fifty Thousand Pounds," then the above Obligation to be void, otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.
